    The 2024 NFL season is almost here.

    Starting next week, football fans will finally experience the long-awaited return of the regular season. Fans got a taste of what's to come during the preseason games , with Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow slinging the ball and Browns' QB Deshaun Watson working to stay healthy for the season. Companies like Krispy Kreme are even getting in on the action with Dr Pepper-flavored gameday doughnuts .

    Here's what to know about the opening week of the 2024 NFL season.

    When does the 2024 NFL regular season start?

    The NFL regular season starts Thursday, Sept. 5, with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Baltimore Ravens in the debut game in a rematch of last season's AFC Championship game.

    Fans get another game before the first Sunday slate. On Sept. 6, the Green Bay Packers face the Philadelphia Eagles from São Paulo, Brazil, at 8:15 p.m. ET. Peacock will broadcast the game.

    When do the Cincinnati Bengals play in Week 1?

    Burrow and the Bengals play on Sunday in Week 1.

    They host the New England Patriots at the updated Paycor Stadium at 1 p.m. ET on Sept. 8. CBS will broadcast the game.

    Cincinnati opened as the betting favorite based on early odds from BetMGM .

    Who do the Cleveland Browns kick off in Week 1 of the NFL season?

    The Browns are likely to be without Nick Chubb when they host Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
