Akron police are investigating two separate Facebook Marketplace robberies Tuesday, with the first incident leading to an arrest, according to officials.

During the first incident, a 24-year-old victim was robbed after arranging to sell his ATV in the 1200 block of Wilber Avenue. The victim met the three would-be buyers around 2:30 p.m. and told police he was robbed at gunpoint by one of the three suspects. The other two fled the area on foot.

Officers found one of the suspects, a 17-year-old male, riding the stolen ATV in the 1000 block of Ackley Street about 15 minutes after the robbery. He was arrested and charged with robbery and receiving stolen property. He was subsequently transported to the Summit County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Detectives are working to identify the other two suspects involved in the robbery.

During the second incident, a 27-year-old male was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash after attempting to buy a PlayStation 5 in the 800 block of Vernon Odom Boulevard. The victim told police he met the suspect just before 8 p.m. and used Cash App to transfer the money for the video game console. Instead of receiving it, the suspect drew their firearm and told the victim to leave.

The victim, who subsequently met with police at another location, was not hurt during the incident.

Officers are in the process of determining who the suspect is.
