33-year-old shot and killed outside hookah bar in Akron

A 33-year-old male was found dead early Saturday morning outside of the Exhale Hookah Lounge in Akron.

Officers responded to the 500 block of East Exchange Street at 2:16 a.m. for a report of someone possibly shot. When they arrived, they found the male victim outside of the lounge with apparent gunshot wounds. EMS was called to the scene, and the victim, whose name is being withheld at this time, was pronounced dead.

Officers found that most of the lounge's patrons left before their arrival. The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown, and investigators are working to develop more information about the fatal shooting.
