Man missing overnight rescued from river by Hamilton Police Department, Warsaw Fire Department
HAMILTON, Ill. — A man was rescued from flood waters Saturday morning while he was kayaking in the Mississippi River. Mike Boley, chief of the Hamilton Police Department, reported in a press release that at approximately 5 a.m. Saturday, July 20, a call was received in reference to a person who had been missing overnight in the flood waters near the Spring Island Campground.

Harrell Receives Seven Years In Prison For Using Mallet To Batter Woman Multiple Times
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman will serve seven years in prison for using a mallet to batter a woman multiple times. Carrie A. Harrell, 41, 5806 S. Maple Grove Lane, Warsaw, was charged with battery with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony; and residential entry, a level 6 felony. Three additional criminal charges, including a Level 2 felony for burglary with a deadly weapon, were all dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Warsaw Man Arrested For Allegedly Setting Trash Can In Store On Fire
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly setting a trash can in a store on fire. James Robert Roder, 38, 27 EMS B59 Lane, Warsaw, is charged with arson and resisting law enforcement with a risk of bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman. Marco Antonio Cleto, 26, 450 Wexford Place, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 years of age present and domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
Romero Arrested For Allegedly Driving Under Influence With Three Children In Vehicle
WARSAW — A Fort Wayne man was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence while three children were in his vehicle. Hugo Romero Jr., 35, Fort Wayne, is charged with operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.15 or more with a passenger under the age of 18 and three counts of neglect of a dependent, all level 6 felonies.
