Bourbon Town Council Holds August Meeting
The Bourbon Town Council held their regular meeting for August. The Council approved participation in a program offered by the Indiana Department of Rural Water that funds an apprentice to be trained in water certifications. The funding for the apprentice’s training is made available through the Indiana Finance Authority (IFA) for almost two years. At the end of that training the town will then decide if they would like to offer a permanent position of employment to the apprentice; if not the apprentice can apply for other permanent positions with their certifications. There is a waiting list for the opportunity; Bourbon will be placed on the waiting list. Once Bourbon is officially approved for the grant they will advertise for applicants for the apprenticeship.
