    Akron police investigate 2 separate shooting incidents from the weekend that left 2 injured

    Akron police responded to two shootings this past weekend, one near North Hill and the other in downtown Akron, according to authorities. Both incidents are under investigation.

    In the first incident, officers responded to a local hospital reporting a shooting on Saturday at about 4:17 a.m. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the 34-year-old male victim, who told them he had been shot multiple times. The incident was determined to have happened in the 1900 block of Buchholzer Boulevard.

    The second incident occured around 2:48 a.m. Sunday, when officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of East Exchange Street. Police located a 20-year-old victim who had been shot upon arriving on the scene.

    The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Officers searched the area but they did not find the suspect.
