AKRON , Ohio (WJW) – If you visit the Akron Zoo over the next several weeks, you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled.

The zoo announced on Facebook that hiding somewhere in the zoo each week through the end of August will be a ‘Golden Paw’ sticker. Visitors are challenged to find the sticker, and whoever spots it first will win a free prize.

“This year we’ve upped the stakes and will be offering a different prize each week,” read the post.

Last year, the winners received a Grizzly Bear Get Close Experience for them and three friends. This year, the post said, the first week’s prize would be a Galapagos tortoise Get Closer Experience for two!

The zoo has recently announced a new ‘ Get Closer Tour ‘ that allows visitors to feed a lion . It’s not clear if this experience will be one of this year’s offered prizes.

If you find the paw, take it to the Welcome Center to redeem the prize in the form of a gift certificate.

But, before you begin searching zoo officials have a few rules to pass along. According to the zoo website, visitors must stay on public pathways at all times and the Golden Paw is not hidden in any animal habitat or any staff work area.
