Akron police are investigating a shooting early Tuesday in Kenmore that left a teen male injured, according to authorities.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting at about 12:35 a.m. at a residence in the 2000 block of 13th Street S.W. Upon arrival, the 15-year-old victim was found outside the residence with gunshot wounds, police said. They gave the victim emergency first aid until EMS arrived and transported him to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the incident. The victim was reportedly shot by an unknown suspect while riding on a scooter on 13th Street S.W.
Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene, police said.
