Speeding drivers spur gun threat, death threat in Brook Park
BROOK PARK, Ohio – A Michael Drive man, 19, told police at about 8 p.m. June 20 that his neighbor, 69, yelled at him and threatened him with a firearm. The man said the neighbor had previously yelled at a passing vehicle that he believed was speeding. Afterward, the man, while driving near his house, waved to a friend who was near the neighbor’s home.

Ravenna time capsule collection to run through Sept. 27
There's still time to submit contributions to Ravenna's time capsule. The city of Ravenna has extended the deadline to submit items to be included in the time capsule that is tied to its 225th anniversary. Items now can be submitted through Sept. 27, said Chelsea Gregor, clerk of Ravenna City Council and president of Main Street Ravenna.
Great Lakes singer-songwriter Pat Dailey dies at 83
PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio — Pat Dailey, a celebrated Great Lakes singer-songwriter, died Wednesday in his Bay Village, Ohio, home. He was 83. He died “peacefully” overnight, his son Reese Dailey wrote Thursday in a Facebook post. The cause of death was not reported. With his entertaining mix of romantic ballads, bawdy tunes, and party songs, Mr. Dailey has been a fixture at the party island of Put-in-Bay since 1978, packing the crowds at the mammoth Beer Barrel until moving to the more intimate Boathouse Bar in 2007. Since 1984 and until his retirement in 2018, Mr. Dailey was a regular in winter at Sloppy Joe's Bar in Key West.
