A man charged in connection with a recent triple homicide at an Alabama gas station was reportedly out on bond for the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl in 2022.

Raukeem Bernard Cunningham faces capital murder charges after a deadly shooting on August 30 at the Citgo gas station on 4th Avenue North in Bessemer. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as Ronald Demetrius Dixon, Jr., 20, Wesley Fowler Jr., 41, and Christopher Dajuan Eddins, 25—all residents of Bessemer.

Officials say the violence began in the gas station parking lot and continued inside the store, where the victims were chased and gunned down. Police believe more than one shooter was involved in the incident.

Cunningham was reportedly out on bond in connection with the 2022 death of Janiyah Simmons, a freshman at Wenonah High School. Cunningham, who was 18 at the time, told police that he and Simmons were playfighting with a gun when it accidentally discharged and killed Simmons. Cunningham was charged with manslaughter in the case.
