We're at the point now where we've entered single-digit Saturdays until the start of the 2024 college football season. Until then, we'll go through endless preseason ratings and rankings for players and teams, just to pass the time until kickoff.

One of the latest rankings to be revealed is a bit more unique.

On his Sunday edition episode of Late Kick Live , college football analyst Josh Pate announced what he believed will be the top 15 programs over the next three seasons.

Pate had his own personal criteria for determining the best 15 programs in college football over this time frame. He based his rankings on a program's recent results, talent acquisition — recruiting and transfer portal — and overall synergy and culture.

College Football's Top 15 Programs In 2024 And Beyond

    1. Georgia
    2. Alabama
    3. Ohio State
    4. Oregon
    5. Texas
    6. Florida State
    7. Notre Dame
    8. Oklahoma
    9. Michigan
    10. Texas A&M
    11. LSU
    12. Tennessee
    13. Miami
    14. Clemson
    15. Penn State

No surprise to see the SEC come in with seven teams in Pate's rankings. Georgia and Alabama alone have accounted for half of the national championships since the inception of the College Football Playoff. LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, and last year's champions, Michigan, make up the rest.

Pate may not be a fortune teller, but it's hard to argue with his assessment of the majority of these teams, mainly because they've been fairly successful over the previous three years. However, this, like all other rankings, is sure to cause heavy debate
