With college football just about a month away, so many fans are getting ready for what should be a very entertaining 2024 season. With that excitement, teams are currently purchasing tickets to their favorite teams. For some of the marquee games, ticket sales are at a nearly unbelievable level. According to data aggregated through 247Sports, we now know what the most expensive tickets are for college football this season on average.

Of the top 20 games in terms of average ticket price, the Texas Longhorns are involved in three of the top four. That includes the top spot when the Longhorns travel to Kyle Field to take on the Texas A&M Aggies on November 30th, which could have some big SEC title game and college football playoff implications as the last regular season game of the season for Texas. Tickets for that contest are going for an average of $625. That is nearly $100 more on average than second place, the annual Navy versus Army game.

In total, the Longhorns are involved in four contests mentioned. If you wanted to attend each of those games, on average you would pay $1,894.41 in total.

Alabama, arguably the biggest brand in all of college football, is involved in three games of the top 20. That includes at Tennessee ($339 on average), hosting Georgia ($302 on average), hosting Auburn for the Iron Bowl ($246.04 on average), and surprisingly at Wisconsin ($240.88).

One interesting note is that Ohio State-Michigan is not listed, which is arguably the biggest rivalry in all of college football. You would assume that whenever the details are released for the contest that it would be right near, if not at the very top of the list. The Wolverines, who are coming off of a National Championship last season, are involved with two games on the list. Not surprisingly but their rematch against the University of Washington is one of them, costing at average of $274 right now. The other is their matchup against Texas, coming in at $469 on average.

It shouldn’t be much of a surprise but Georgia is the school with the most appearances on the list, with five total games. Those contests are their games at Texas ($355.41), against Tennessee ($348.49), at Alabama ($302), at home against Auburn ($298), and at Ole Miss ($242.26). That is a grand total of $1,546.16 for anyone who wants to go to every contest on average.
