LACROSSE, Fla. – Lisa Lynn Allen, 45, was arrested yesterday morning and charged with sending repeated harassing text messages and aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony after she allegedly sent at least 45 text messages to a neighbor about a fence and later wrote that the victim’s puppies were “going to die” and said that she was “going to burn down the neighbor’s house.”
An Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 21500 block of NW CR 1493 on Sunday morning after Allen reportedly called to say a neighbor had battered her while she was taking down a fence that was on her property.
The deputy reported that Allen’s neighbor said that Allen had sent 45-55 text messages over a few minutes around 8 a.m. about their fence and how it relates to Allen’s property line. One of the texts reportedly said that the victim’s puppies were “going to die.”
When Allen called in to report the alleged battery, she reportedly hung up with the call-taker after a few minutes but called back about five minutes later, and the deputy described her as “very excited” and reported that she told the call-taker that she was “going to burn down the neighbor’s house.”
The deputy reported that the neighbor was afraid that Allen would burn down their house.
Allen has no criminal convictions. Judge Jonathan Ramsey set bail at $10,000.
