Vehicle strikes, kills Newberry woman exiting vehicle on SR 26
A 42-year-old Newberry woman died Monday night when she stopped her vehicle on State Road 26 near Jonesville, exited her car and was struck by traffic. According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) release, the woman was driving westbound on SR 26 (Newberry Road) at 10:05 p.m. when she stopped within the roadway at NW 155th Street. She then got out of her vehicle and was struck by other traffic.
