The San Antonio culinary scene is experiencing a noticeable shift as several longtime favorite restaurants have shuttered their doors this year, leaving a void for regular patrons and a change in the local dining landscape. KSAT reports that Acadiana Cafe, a staple for Cajun cuisine lovers for 38 years on the West Side, plans to close after announcing the sale of its property to Hacienda Vallarta Restaurant Group.

SAN ANTONIO - A local homeless man, Blake Gilliam, captures the heart of the city on canvas - painting the skyline of Downtown San Antonio. I've seen downtown from every angle of the city but I had never noticed this one I guess. I looked over there and I saw it and I said, man that's a perfect view of downtown, I can try to paint that," says Gilliam.
San Antonio Botanical Garden will offer free admission this Saturday
SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Botanical Garden will offer free admission to all visitors on Saturday, July 27. In addition to the offer, the Garden is hosting “Dog Daze” during July and August, where visitors can bring their dogs to enjoy time in nature for free from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The “Red, White and BBQ: Tastes of America Festival” is taking place from Aug. 9 through Sept. 2. Guests of the park can enjoy five different barbecue styles from Kansas City, the Carolinas, Texas, Memphis and Hawaii, all while enjoying the rides and animal attractions.
