An unexpected act of violence disrupted what was meant to be a leisurely evening at the Santikos Palladium movie theater in San Antonio, where a woman endured a seemingly unprovoked physical attack. Man gets 8 years in prison after pleading guilty to intoxication assault
SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — A man accused of hurting a mother and her then-unborn child in a crash in January 2023 now has a sentence of 8 years in prison. Mark Walton pled guilty to intoxication assault in the case, and he will have to serve half of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

The San Antonio Police Department, in collaboration with Crime Stoppers, is actively seeking information from the public in connection with the homicide of a 30-year-old woman, Daniella Chavez. Chavez went missing from her residence in the 2600 block of Northeast Loop 410, on March 30, 2016, and, her tragic fate was not discovered until over three years later. It was on September 11, 2019, when hikers stumbled upon her remains, hidden amongst the brush in a greenbelt area near the 4000 block of Swans Landing. The nature of her death has led investigators to suspect foul play.
