    Construction accident causes power outage in Albany

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — National Grid and Albany Police responded to a power outage in the area of Erie Boulevard and North Lawrence Street. Albany Police say the call came in around 9:15 Thursday morning.

    Albany Police say a construction worker operating a heavy-duty drill rig had tipped over, causing power wires to detach from a pole that began to spark. The incident caused a power outage, which National Grid responded to and has been making repairs.

    At this time, no injuries are reported.
