    Two Albany men plead not guilty to Washington Avenue murder

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Albany County District Attorney’s Office announced the arraignment of two defendants in an Albany homicide case. Marco Reyes-Lopez, 24, and Javier Martinez-Reyes, 27, both of Albany, pleaded not guilty on Friday to second-degree murder and first-degree gang assault.

    The indictment alleges that Reyes-Lopez and Martinez-Reyes conjointly caused the death of Abel Vasques-Bautista on June 3 near Washington Avenue in Albany. They are also accused of harming a second victim. The two were arrested on June 20 following an investigation.

    Reyes-Lopez and Martinez-Reyes were remanded to the Albany County Jail after their arraignment. They are scheduled to return to court on July 26.
