    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Happy Friday! According to Meteorologists Matt Mackie and Kevin Appleby , we will have yet another beautiful day with low levels of humidity and seasonably cool temperatures.

    In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Albany International Airport says they are dealing with ongoing outages that have impacted airlines and other organizations worldwide . Passengers flying in or out of the airport may experience delays due to the airline computer issue. Also, on Thursday, DOCCS announced the closure process will begin immediately at Great Meadow and Sullivan Correctional Facilities.     1. Albany International Airport impacted by outages

    In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Albany International Airport says they too are dealing with ongoing outages that have impacted airlines and other organizations worldwide . Passengers flying in or out of the airport may experience delays due to the airline computer issue.

    3. Great Meadow and Sullivan Correctional Facilities closing in November

    As part of the state budget, lawmakers authorized New York’s Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) to close five prisons. On Thursday, DOCCS announced the closure process will begin immediately at Great Meadow and Sullivan Correctional Facilities.

    4. Storm recovery in Warren County, National Grid gives free water

    Storm cleanup continues in Warren County after severe weather swept through this week. To alleviate the struggle of residents without power, National Grid offered free water and dry ice outside the Warrensburg Fire Department.

    5. Ex-Tinney’s Tavern owner opens pizzeria in Middle Grove

    At the end of April, Kevin Joyce sold Tinney’s Tavern on Lake Desolation to new owners . The following month, Joyce, along with James Murphy and Erika Faas, opened The Post Pizza & More in Middle Grove.
