    Albany Med receives $100K for fight childhood cancer

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — Albany Medical Center received funding on Wednesday to help end childhood cancer. The Pediatric Oncology Department received $100,000 from the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program.

    Local children impacted by cancer also took part in Hyundai’s annual Handprint Ceremony. They left their mark on a car to commemorate their personal stories of hope.

    “Cancer was incredibly difficult, but the Melody Center and the people there made it the best possible years they could have been.”

    Over the last 25 years, the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program has donated more than $250 million to childhood cancer research nationwide.
