Former Storm Lake Resident, Recently Located Out of State, to Spend Time in Prison After Probation Was Revoked a Few Years Ago
A former Storm Lake resident will spend time in prison after his probation was previously revoked in Buena Vista County District Court. According to a press release from the BV County Attorney’s Office, 33-year-old Steven Vorasith had his probation revoked on February 9th of 2021 following a public hearing the previous day. Vorasith was on probation to the Third Judicial District Department of Correctional Services for Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury, a class D felony. Vorasith’s probation was revoked, a five-year prison sentence was imposed, and the court ordered a mittimus to be issued.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — A Sheldon man who never showed up to serve his prison term has been apprehended in Arizona and returned to Iowa. 33-year-old Steven Vorasith had been paroled on a Class D Felony conviction in Buena Vista County for Willful Assault Causing Bodily Injury, but had that probation revoked in February of 2021.
