2 arrested for DWI and other reports

Police arrested Israel Thomas Abrego, 51, for third-degree driving while intoxicated and second-degree test refusal after a traffic stop at 2:14 a.m. Sunday near South Broadway and East Third Street.

Police arrested Carlos Manuel Vega, 22, for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 3:36 a.m. Sunday near West Front Street and Jefferson Avenue.

2 arrested on warrants

Deputies picked up Joseph Allen Des Marais Jr. at 9:37 p.m. Friday in Alden, who was arrested on a warrant in Wells.

Jeffrey John Mauer, 45, turned himself in on a warrant at 2:51 p.m. Friday at 411 S. Broadway.

Identity theft reported

Police received a report at 3:45 p.m. Friday of identity theft involving a person working in Albert Lea.

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:41 a.m. Saturday at 820 Happy Trails Lane.

Attempted break-in reported

A group of juvenile boys was reported trying to break-in to a building at 8:39 a.m. Saturday at 616 E. Main St. Two doors on the west side of the building were damaged.

Building broken into

A building was reported broken into at 1:44 p.m. Saturday behind 110 E. Third St.

Several cited for underage drinking

Deputies cited Kadin Russell Johnson, 18; Dylan Richard Kohler, 19; and Ryker Jeffery Paul Erickson, 19, for underage drinking after receiving a report at 3:16 a.m. Sunday of an underage drinking party at 66864 275th St. in Alden and that people were driving. Deputies also cited Caleb David Songstad, 19, for underage drinking and driving and underage consumption; Kyle Michael Honstad, 18, for underage consumption and open bottle violation; and Ross James Huper, 18, for underage drinking and open bottle violation after a traffic stop at 665th Avenue and 245th Street at 3:56 a.m. Sunday in Alden.

Storage unit broken into

A storage unit was reported broken into at 2:18 p.m. Sunday at 502 Main St. in Hartland.

Copper wire stolen

Copper wire was reported stolen off an acreage at 4 p.m. Sunday at 69367 220th St. in Alden.

Vehicle reported stolen

A vehicle was reported stolen at 10:53 p.m. Sunday at 237 N. Broadway in Alden.
