Project: Freeborn County Community Promise Scholarship

Report: The Freeborn County Communities Foundation made a donation to Riverland Community College for local scholarships.

Riverland utilized the funding to assist in launching the Freeborn County Community Promise Scholarship for the high school class of 2024 from area high schools. The last dollar scholarship provides access to degree or certificate programs at any of Riverland’s campuses for students who meet the required qualifications.

The scholarship is funded through private donations from organizations like the Freeborn County Communities Foundation, businesses and individuals.

The goal is to provide access and opportunity for local career training that will support the community’s workforce needs.

Riverland is grateful for the foundation’s support as one of the leading partners in this initiative.
