Blue Demons make more history with regular season finale approaching
Albia’s baseball squad has quietly put together one of their most productive seasons in recent years, earning their 10th win of the season last week. In the prior five seasons, the Blue Demons averaged eight wins with a best of 13 wins coming from the 2020-21 season. With three conference games remaining and a district game on the horizon, they could finish the season with 14 wins, plus however many they win in the postseason, which would be the most they’ve won since 2016-17 when they won 18 games. In addition, they have a chance at winning double-digit conference games, which hasn’t happened since 2015-16 when they went 13-5 in conference to finish second.
