WVU fall camp preview: Linebackers
It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. West Virginia football enters the 2024 season with significant wind in its sails, so fall camp should be particularly interesting to watch next month. At this current time, there is no media access schedule.
West Virginia excited about talented transfer WR Bray
West Virginia made the decision to look inside the Big 12 to help add to the wide receiver room by adding former Oklahoma State wide receiver Jaden Bray. Bray, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, brings a combination of size and speed to the wide receiver room along with some valuable experience under his belt in the conference.
A new national spotlight shines on Josh Shapiro’s contested environmental record
It was supposed to be a triumphant moment. Five months ago, Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro traveled to a union hall in Scranton to announce a new energy plan his administration touted as a “bold vision for Pennsylvania’s energy future.” But his speech was interrupted with a searing question from a resident of a Pennsylvania town that became […]

WVU Basketball Offers Pair of High School Guards
The offers continue to fly out from WVU basketball as the coaching staff offered a pair of high school guards this week. 2025 four-star Kelvin Odih and 2027’s Jacob Canton both picked up offers from West Virginia. Odih, 6-foot-4, was offered on Wednesday while Canton, 6-foot-3, was offered Thursday.
Higher temps and clearer skies remain until Monday
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - Well NCWV, we are in the weekend now and these temperatures are remaining hot for tomorrow. High temperatures are going to be in the low to mid 90s in the lowlands and the low to mid 80s in the higher elevations on Sunday. Mostly clear skies will remain throughout tomorrow as well. As we get into Monday in the early morning, we will start to see an increase in cloud coverage as a frontal system approaches the area. Rain showers and storms look to start in NCWV around mid-morning Monday. Rainfall can be heavy at times, especially in thunderstorms with up to 2 inches of rainfall possible all the way up to midweek next week, but with current drought conditions in NCWV, this rainfall is definitely welcome. High temperatures will drop Monday quite significantly, getting into the low to mid 80s in the lowlands and the mid 70s in the higher elevations. Ours highs will steadily rise back into the high 80s to the low 90s in the lowlands as we progress throughout next week. Daniel Niemasz has all of this and more on your First Alert Forecast.
