Clarksburg to host National Night Out with music, food & free entry to Splash Zone
CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) - The Clarksburg Police Department and the City of Clarksburg are teaming up to host their annual National Night Out event early next month. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 6 at the Veteran’s Memorial Park from 5 to 8 p.m. in the upper park area near the Amphitheater.

Seven former West Virginia basketball players participated in the NBA Summer League this month. Let’s take a look how each player did with their teams. Battle received an invitation to summer league from the Hornets following the NBA draft. Battle is now fighting for a two-way contract. His California Classic debut for the Hornets was his best performance throughout the summer. Battle recorded an efficient 12 points on six shots in 14 minutes.

It's about that time again, which is crazy because it feels like just yesterday I was writing the spring camp previews. Back then, football preparation was taking a backseat to the pending basketball coaching search. This time around, fall camp will be in the spotlight of the WVU sports world. Today we continue the position-by-position preview for preseason camp. The Mountaineers went 9-4 last season, including beating up on UNC in a bowl game that ended with Neal Brown being covered in mayonnaise. Raccoon rabies vaccinations will drop from the sky in Allegheny County next month
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Aircraft will drop rabies vaccination baits across Allegheny County next month as part of a massive effort to eventually eradicate the raccoon variant of the virus from the country. The vaccination program is spearheaded by the United States Department of Agriculture's Wildlife Services, which the Allegheny County Health Department partners with annually. This year, volunteers will distribute baits containing the vaccine from Aug. 1 through Aug. 30, both by hand and by air.
