    Police investigating fatal crash in northeast Albuquerque

    ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal crash near Marquette Ave. and Espanola St. Around 4:20 p.m., officers encountered a vehicle near Central and Pennsylvania. APD said the vehicle fled police and officers used a Star Chase device to track it.

    APD said the vehicle then crashed into a second vehicle near Marquette Ave. and Espanola St. Officers found two people who were injured in the crash. One person died on scene. The driver of the fleeing vehicle was taken into custody.

    The Muti-Agency Task Force is investigating the crash and the role of the officers involved.
