The Enchantment ready for run in TBT

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Every year that The Enchantment has played in The Basketball Tournament (TBT), the team has gotten one step closer to the $1 million prize. The 2024 journey in the tournament begins on Friday in Houston, TX.

“I feel like the last year, going into this year, was a big impact because we got to that sweet 16 game,” said coach Kenny Thomas. “I feel like we have a nice little squad this year, having Bryce (Alford) and obviously Scott (Bamforth), I am going to be loaded with Mathis being able to shoot from behind the perimeter. So, I think we are going to be good.”

Fresh off its tune up game on Tuesday against fellow UNM alumni, The Enchantment will tipoff against “Once A Bronco”, a team comprised on Boise State alumni.

“You see the teams getting better with a lot better players putting together good teams,” Bamford said. “So, I think that our experience will help us in the end, and now this is my third year playing with the team so we are trying to get over the hump and get out of the region.”

The Enchantment’s opening round game will tipoff at 2 p.m. MT on Friday.
