ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) responded to a water main break on Sunday.

AFR said, around 12:35 p.m., nine units were called to 10300 Gutierrez Road NE for a townhouse’s garage partially collapsing alongside a water main break on Morris Street NE.

Authorities said one person was displaced, and a service dog went missing. Holes are being drilled into the garage door to look inside for the missing animal.

No injuries have been reported yet, and multiple agencies responded to the scene, including New Mexico Gas Company and PNM.

The Water Authority is working on the water main break, and repairs are not expected to be complete until Monday. Two residences in the area are without water, and a station was been set up to help in the meantime. Two homes were damaged as well.

The NM Gas Company has confirmed a gas main was not the cause of the break.
