The Alcoa Police Department is asking the public for information regarding an ongoing vandalism case at the Ardmore Apartments site. Investigators say five juveniles are the primary suspects.

According to a release from APD, officers initially responded to the site on Ardmore Alcoa Way Monday, April 1 after construction workers found signs of vandalism in multiple buildings. Damage included destroyed appliances and light fixtures, flooding through the floors of multiple apartments and paints on carpets, hardwood floors, walls and drains.

“Due to the extensive amount of vandalism to the property, a monetary loss has yet to be determined,” APD representatives wrote in the release.

APD said the vandalism likely occurred between 5 p.m. Friday, March 29 and 3 a.m. Saturday, March 30, when security footage appears to show the five suspects leaving the premises.

Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers anonymously at 865-215-7165 or online at www.EastTNValleyCrimeStoppers.org
