    Dan Snyder’s Virginia mansion, estate on market for $60M

    FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Mount Vernon estate of former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder hit the market. The asking price for the 16.5 acres along the Potomac River: $60 million.

    The property listing on TTR Sotheby’s International Realty’s website says River View is the largest privately-owned parcel of George Washington’s original Mount Vernon estate that remains.

    With eight bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and six partial bathrooms, the home, located at 7979 E. Boulevard Dr. in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County, comes in at 16,000 square feet.

    The listing says that nearly every room in the house has access to terraces with views of the Potomac. Features of the home include a gaming room wih a full bar, pool table, two televisions, handcrafted stone walls and radius doors with views of the river. There is a 15-seat movie theatre and a commercial chef’s kitchen.

    The estate, which is made up of three parcels of land, has 400 feet of water frontage, a guest house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, a carriage house with four car spaces and a studio apartment, a waterfront dock and a reproduction of an English colonial boxwood garden that old blueprints found on the property inspired.

    The annual property taxes: $436,185.

    Snyder and his wife, Tanya, sold the Commanders in 2023 in a $6 billion deal.
