DWI Checkpoints Set for Weekend
Summer DWI checkpoints continue this weekend with two set in shore go-to spots, Deal and Spring Lake Heights, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced. Starting at 9 p.m. and running through 1 a.m. on Saturday, vehicles traveling north on Ocean Avenue will be diverted into the Deal Casino Beach Club parking lot. There, Task Force members and Deal police will screen drivers for sobriety.

EAST HANOVER — Another infant has died after being left in a car in New Jersey. Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said East Hanover Police were called after a 6- month-old girl was noticed inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot on South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
