An installation ceremony took place on July 17 at the Algonac Lions Club for incoming officers of the club. Dr. William Brady, who has been an active member of the Algonac Lions Club for the past 30 years, will serve as the club president for 2024-2025, the group said in a news release.

Richmond Lions help clean aircraft displays at Selfridge museum
Nine volunteers from the Richmond Lions Club finished up their cleaning of a Korean War-era North American F-86A aircraft earlier this month at the Selfridge Military Air Museum at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. This is the 17th year that the club has participated in the museum’s Adopt-A-Plane program.
Ray Township voters to decide on fire station proposal
Ray Township voters will weigh in on the need for a new fire station during the Aug. 6 primary, as well vote in contested races for supervisor and trustee. The bond proposal asks voters if Ray Township shall borrow a sum not to exceed $5.5 million, and issue unlimited tax general obligation bonds in one or more series. These would be payable within 21 years from the date of issue.
