Centralia High School finishing major summer projects
Centralia High School’s board received an update on the new turf football field at the board meeting on Thursday. Superintendent Chuck Lane says that work on the field is close to completion, with the field surface finished and work still to be done on the sideline areas, pouring sand, and adding markings to the turf. Lane says the workers’ current target is to be finished on August 1, and he is confident that work will be finished ahead of the original goal of August 12.
Enrollment is up at Kaskaskia College
Enrollment is up at Kaskaskia College. At their annual Community Engagement Meeting in Vandalia on Thursday, Kaskaskia College staff discussed several different developments for the college. For enrollment, K-C Vice President of Student Services Amy Zanton says they set an aggressive goal for this past year with their enrollment, and they actually exceeded their goal.
