    Child porn conviction nets man prison sentence

    An Almena man convicted of possessing child pornography was sentenced to a 13-year prison term on Tuesday in Barron County Circuit Court.

    Charles P. Lambert, 57, had faced 10 felony charges of possession of child porn when he pleaded guilty on March 29 to one while the other nine were dismissed but read into the record.

    Judge Maureen D. Boyle sentenced Lambert on Tuesday to 13 years in prison, with eight years of confinement and five years on extended supervision. Conditions include that he register as a sex offender, and he may not have unsupervised access to the internet or contact with any minors.
