Music in the Meadows sets the tone for summer in Oakland Township parks
OAKLAND TOWNSHIP — The beat is on in Oakland Township parks this summer. The 17th annual Music in the Meadows series, hosted by the Oakland Township Parks and Recreation Department, kicked off June 16 and will continue to supply free Friday night concerts July 19 and Aug. 16 in township parks.
Pushna Wellness Celebrates Its Grand Opening
LAKE ORION, Mich. – On Thursday, June 27, 2024, Pushna Wellness had its official grand reopening after moving to a new location on Clarkston Road near the Polly Ann Trail. Members of the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce, family and friends of Pushna Wellness gathered at the new location for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Student-Artists’ Talent on Display
This spring, the Greater Flint community was invited to view the works of local art students at two special exhibitions hosted annually by the Greater Flint Arts Council. The 2024 Young Artists Today Tri-County High School Art Show/Competition featured hundreds of original works by student artists from more than 20 high schools throughout Genesee, Shiawassee and Lapeer counties. Hosted by the Greater Flint Arts Council, the inspiring exhibit occupied the 4,000 square-foot gallery in Downtown Flint.
