The Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) has hired Lauren Brownrigg as an assistant executive director. Brownrigg has served as associate athletic director and senior woman administrator at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. since 2012. She was named senior associate athletic director in 2020. COMMITMENT: Oregon State lands Portland pitcher Tanner Douglas
Mitch Canham and Rich Dorman landed their second bullpen arm in as many days, as Portland closer Tanner Douglas announced his commitment to Oregon State on Tuesday night. A 6-foot-2 lefty out of South Medford, Douglas spent the 2023 season at Tacoma Community College where he appeared in 13 games and made nine starts. Douglas was fantastic for the Titans as he went 8-1 with a 2.33 ERA, striking out 46 batters in 58 innings while also earning two saves.

Former Beavers Named to MLB All-Stars; Hops Over Ems
A couple of former Oregon State Beaver Baseball players have been named to the 2024 All-Star List. Outfielder Steven Kwan plays for the Cleveland Guardians while catcher Adley Rutshcman plays for the Baltimore Orioles. Kwan played for the Beavers from 2016-18, where he batted .329 with 16 doubles, nine triples and three home runs in 156 games. He also drove in 66, scored 96 runs and swiped 22 bases. Rutschman is an All-Star for the second time, but a starter for the first time. The Baltimore Orioles’ backstop is batting .291 with 12 doubles, 15 home runs and 55 RBI. He’s also been excellent in the field, recording a .998 fielding percentage, committing one error in 475 chances. Rutschman was the 2019 Golden Spikes Award winner and played in 185 games for the Beavers over three seasons. He batted .353 with 39 doubles, five triples, 28 home runs and 174 RBI.

Happy Thursday, Husky fans. The Husky staff got some welcome news today when local three-star offensive lineman Lowen Colman-Brusa from Kennedy Catholic HS, WA committed to UW. The Huskies recently offered Colman-Brusa and were able to land him over Duke and Portland State. 247sports has rated him as the 122nd best offensive tackle in the 2024 class.
