SWEET HOME Ore. (KPTV) - A shed fire spread to several nearby buildings and threatened several homes on Friday in Sweet Home, according to the Sweet Home Fire District. At about 6:30 p.m., a homeowner called 911 to report a fire spreading from his shed to and into nearby trees. The man said he noticed an orange glow out of his window and found his storage shed engulfed in flames that were moving toward multiple outbuildings on his property and nearby properties.

Barge ablaze after Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival fireworks show, one hospitalized
Following the dazzling fireworks display at the Waterfront Blues Festival, a fire broke out on the deck of the barge sending one person to the hospital, authorities said. According to Portland Fire & Rescue, during the post-show clean-up and safety check, the fire started on the deck. Officials said a member of the barge crew was burned and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. That person’s condition is currently unknown.
