Cleanup continues; power restored following latest severe weather
While the cleanup will continue for some time, both Ameren Illinois and Tri-County Electric completed restoration of electricity in Marion County by late Tuesday afternoon. Many power lines were tangled in trees which made it difficult to restore power quickly. At one point more than 1,500 Ameren customers in Salem alone were without power and more than 500 Tri-County members in rural parts of the county.
