One in Custody Following Afternoon Gunfire Near Regency Inn
Update 8:10 PM: Just spoke with Chief Mize: there is minimal information available, as this is an active and ongoing investigation. One individual is in custody and is refusing to speak, Mize said. More information on the identity and location of the second individual is still being sought. Mize said the Crime Investigation Division (CID) has taken charge of the investigation. The information available at this point is that two individuals were shooting at each other; no one was hit, one vehicle was struck and one gun has been recovered. Wreck south of Tallulah Falls injures Three People
Units from Habersham County Emergency Services and the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 6:16pm on Friday, July 12, to a wreck with injuries on Expressway 441/Ga. 15 at 441 Old Historic Highway. Engine 17, Engine 9, Med 9, Med 16, Captain 1, and PIO responded, along with several units from the sheriff’s office. That location is just south of Tallulah Falls. Three people were transported by ambulance to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville for treatment. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. Southbound traffic on Expressway 441/Ga. 15 was diverted onto 441 Old Historic Highway until about 7:30pm.
Hall County deputies arrest a Pendergrass man for alleged assaults in May
A Pendergrass man has been arrested in connection to a disturbance in May at a residence on Dorsey Peek Road in southeastern Hall County. Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) spokeswoman B.J. Williams says their deputies arrived at the residence at around 7:00 p.m. on May 9 to investigate a reported aggravated assault.
