Clarkesville, GA – North Georgia Technical College’s (NGTC) automotive technology program was recently granted reaffirmation of accreditation by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). Established in 1972, ASE seeks to promote excellence and cultivate a skilled workforce in the automotive service industry with the help of the ASE Education Foundation.

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are sending out a warning about an eye-catching drug found in the form of pink-dyed powder. The Douglasville Police Department (DPD) says the drug is called “Tusi,” also known as pink-dyed powder cocaine. They say it comes in powdered and tablet form.
Athens Area Humane Society offers free vaccines to 200 pets
The Athens Area Humane Society is hosting a free pet vaccine clinic from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the facility at 1030 Mitchell Bridge Road. The clinic will operate on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to the first 200 pets from households in Clarke, Jackson and Madison counties.

New training program launches for emerging real estate developers in Atlanta
A new training program called the Equitable Development Initiative is looking to train investors to bring more affordable housing to Atlanta. The program is being organized by Capital Impact Partners, a community development financial institution (CDFI) and part of the Momentus Capital brand which focuses on financing for disinvested communities. The application period closed on July 12, and applications will now be under review.
