Stetson Bennett Has Wild Theory About Why He Replaced JT Daniels As UGA's QB1
For the first four games of the 2021 season, JT Daniels was the starting quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs. By the end of the year, he’d been supplanted by Stetson Bennett, who led the Bulldogs to a 10-1 record and national championship win over No. 1-ranked Alabama. But why did Georgia head ...

(BULLS GAP, TENNESSEE) Dale McDowell, of Chickamauga, Georgia, continued his recent dominance at Volunteer Speedway on Sunday night by claiming his third straight Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Coltman Farms Racing and fueled by Sunoco win at the Bulls Gap, Tennessee facility! Dale, who also won series stops at “The Gap” back in 2021 and 2022, laid down the quickest time overall during qualifying before leading all forty circuits of the ‘Summer Sizzler’ from the outside of the front row. The Hall of Fame driver known as “MacDaddy” beat Saturday’s Wythe Raceway winner Chris Madden by 1.553 seconds to bag the $7,553 first place prize money.
The harsh reality for Kirby Smart and Georgia's reckless driving problem
Look. I did not want to write this, but I feel that it is my obligation as a University of Georgia alum to peel back the curtain a bit and reveal what is really going on with the football team's reckless driving issues. I do not condone driving like a jerk, but I did go to school here over a decade ago, and I saw some things. For everyone who wants Kirby Smart to dismiss those who want to drive fast, he cannot.
Former Georgia Bulldog named as Rams player on the roster bubble
Former Georgia Bulldogs cornerback Derion Kendrick has been identified as a player on the roster bubble for the Los Angeles Rams. Kendrick recorded 92 tackles and an interception during his first two seasons with the Rams, so it would be surprising to see Kendrick not make Los Angeles’ roster. Kendrick won a national championship with Georgia football in 2021. He could start at outside cornerback for the Rams, but he faces a significant amount of competition at that position and could be forced to move to the slot. “Kendrick has been benched on three separate occasions in the last two years, including twice last season,” wrote Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire. “The Rams appear to be trying him in the slot, based on Chris Shula’s comments earlier this offseason, but that’s not necessarily a good position for him given his lack of speed and quickness.” Another former Bulldog, quarterback Stetson Bennett will be fighting for a job with the Los Angeles Rams over the next couple of months.

Rep. Allen's Nuclear Licensing Efficiency Act signed into law
This week, Congressman Rick W. Allen's (GA-12) Nuclear Licensing Efficiency Act was signed into law. Rep. Allen introduced the legislation last year, which was then included in a bipartisan nuclear energy package that was signed into law this week as a part of a larger legislative vehicle. Upon the announcement, Congressman Allen issued the following statement: "With Plant Vogtle's nuclear units 3 and 4 fully operational and providing a stable, baseload supply of electricity to Georgia homes and businesses, now is the time to build on this tremendous success and explore further expansion of America's nuclear energy capabilities. This bipartisan nuclear energy package, including my Nuclear Licensing Efficiency Act, will help streamline future nuclear projects in the U.S. so that we may fully embrace the reliability of clean, 24/7 nuclear energy for generations to come. I am thankful for Chair Rodgers’ leadership on this issue and am pleased that my colleagues and I on the Energy and Commerce Committee were able to get this legislation over the finish line. I look forward to seeing its positive impact on America's energy sector."
