EVERYTHING IS ON YOUR PHONE. NOW YOUR ID IS TOO. Iowa has introduced a new, convenient way for residents to carry their driver’s licenses or state-issued IDs: the Iowa Mobile ID. This FREE digital version of your official ID is available through a smartphone app and acts as a companion to your physical ID. While the mobile ID app is optional and not all businesses are equipped to verify it yet, it provides a secure and private way to carry your identification digitally.

The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team season came to an end this past Tuesday, and Raccoon Valley Radio looks back at the year Jaxson Book had. Jaxson is the son of the Tigers Head Coach Jason Book. Jaxson spends most of his time defensively behind the plate catching for ADM, doing an exceptional job. He appeared in 31 games this season was able to start two of them on the mound, splitting with a 1-1 record, striking out 15 batters.

CCSD School Board Approved Of $213K Project For Fairview Playground Resurfacing
The Carroll Community School District’s Fairview Elementary playground will look a little different for the upcoming school year, with the resurfacing project approved during Monday’s Board of Education meeting. GameTime with Cunningham Recreation has been awarded the contract to resurface the area, replacing the woodchips with a soft, rubber surface. Superintendent Dr. Casey Berlau says the district is looking to spend just over $213,000 for this project for two main reasons.

City Of Manning Donating A Newly Developed Lot To The IKM-Manning School District
The Manning City Council has approved donating one of the Stadium View Drive lots to the IKM-Manning School District for the school’s upcoming trade project. Back in June, the school district approved partnering up with Manning Municipal Utilities (MMU) to provide students with a work-based learning of the different trades used when constructing a new house. The City of Manning will donate one of the lots from the Stadium View pocket neighborhood to be the permanent location for the students’ project. Once completed, the house will become available for purchase by interested buyers. The other homes in the neighborhood are currently being designed and constructed by Origin Homes, a custom-home building contractor based out of West Des Moines. Economic development will be the primary focus of the Carroll City Council’s upcoming meeting on Monday. The council convenes at 5:15 p.m. at Carroll City Hall on July 22. One of their first items of business is to cancel the public hearing for the Ziegler Caterpillar development agreement.
