ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — A man who spent numerous weeks on Altoona police’s most wanted list has finally been taken into custody.

Robert Goss, 51, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, Altoona police confirmed. Court dockets show that Goss was wanted on burglary and theft charges from April 15, and May 28, as well as other drug and contraband charges.

One of Goss’ criminal complaints shows that police were called in the early morning hours of May 28 for a burglary at Hair Mafia in downtown Altoona. According to charges filed, Goss’ ex-wife, and owner of the shop, was alerted on her phone that someone was in the building.

Police said she showed them video from her cameras and identified that it was Goss. Police noted that she told them Goss was also sending text messages including: “Don’t call the police,” “I didn’t take anything,” and “I’m sorry.” The shop owner told police that a blue bank bag with more than a thousand dollars was missing from the office.

Goss was unable to be located that night and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Goss was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is in the Blair County Prison with a $75,000 bail.
