APD seeking help after war memorial vandalized

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Altoona Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify possible suspects that vandalized several things in Gospel Hill, including a war memorial.

According to a Facebook post , the vandalism took place sometime between June 28 and July 3rd at Gospel Hill in Altoona. The APD is currently looking for any information about potential suspects.

The following objects were damaged during the acts:

• War memorial spray painted with “Pharoah 2024” on all four sides
• Multiple light poles spray painted with graffiti
• A guard rail was spray painted
• The South concrete staircase was painted
• Light pole electrical port damaged with exposed wires
• Two capstones of the South staircase destroyed
