Caverna students are Rising Stars
Two students at Caverna Elementary School are shining bright as Kentucky’s Rising Stars. Carlee Brooke Briggs, age 10 from Cave City, and Elainna Lou Barker, age 6 from Horse Cave, participated in The 2024 Miss Kentucky’s Teen Scholarship Competition on Friday, June 14 at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Bowling Green.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — WKU LifeSkills Center for Child Welfare Education and Research (LCCWEAR) recently received $5.8 million in external funding to expand critical services. With a mission to advance child welfare across Kentucky, LCCWEAR includes three new transformative initiatives in partnership with Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Franklin Police Department taking up school supplies
FRANKLIN, Ky. – The back-to-school season is here, and the Franklin police are hoping community members will help out as much as they can. At the Franklin Police Department, they have coordinated with AARP to run a back-to-school drive where they are asking for donations such as backpacks, notebooks and tissues. Donations can be placed in the totes located at the front of the lobby.
