Canyon ISD can add a few more trophies to its résumé.

After securing their first Lone Star Cup title in 2022-23, Randall cemented two in a row by claiming the title in Conference 4A, as announced by the UIL on Monday. Canyon placed second in the standings with 94 points.

The Raiders brought home state championships in girls cross country and boys wrestling, while also amassing the most victories in spring tennis on the way to 117 points — the most of any conference. Randall also finished as state runner-up in volleyball, reached the state semifinals in boys basketball and captured a regional championship in academics.

Canyon baseball saw its season end with a 3-1 loss to Texarkana Liberty-Eylau in the 4A state semifinal in Austin. It marked the final season for head coach John Doan, who elected to retire from coaching — following a 21-year run with the Eagles. The Canyon girls and boys track and field teams also chipped in fourth-place finishes at the state meet in Austin. In hoops, the Eagles dropped a state semifinal contest 75-68 to Silsbee, while the Canyon girls finished runner-up after a 45-36 loss to Waco La Vega in the title contest.

The top finishers were Southlake Carroll in 6A, Lucas Lovejoy in 5A, Holliday in 3A, Shiner in 2A and Gail Borden County in 1A.

Amarillo tied for eighth in 5A with 72 points, and Bushland came in eighth in 3A with 53 points. Nazareth was seventh in 1A with 45 points.
