AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — An Amarillo man recently pleaded guilty to one count of “Distribution and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine,” on Thursday in Amarillo Federal Court, according to court documents.

As previously reported by MyHighPlains.com, Keshawn Tyreece Stewart was previously indicted in January on the same charge after an incident on Nov. 16, 2023, where Stewart “Did knowingly and intentionally distribute and possess with intent to distribute a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.”

According to court documents, on Nov. 16, 2023, Drug Enforcement Administration agents utilized an undercover officer to arrange the purchase of cocaine from Stewart.

Documents detailed that Stewart and the officer exchanged messages and then arranged to meet and purchase two ounces of cocaine for $1,700. After the arrest, the suspected cocaine was sent to the DEA South Central Laboratory where the laboratory confirmed the substance was cocaine and had a total net weight of 56.2 grams.
