Male found dead in Amarillo alley on Saturday

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Police Department announced that Benny Rubio, 44, has died on Saturday.

According to an Amarillo Police Department press release, at around 1:47 p.m. on Saturday officers were dispatched to the 600 block of east Amarillo Boulevard in the west alley regrading a male that may have been stabbed.

Officials said Rubio was pronounced dead by AMS.

APD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the incident, and ask that if residents have any information regarding this incident to contact 806-378-9468.

The Amarillo Police Department released a photo of a person of interest and ask for the public’s help identifying and locating this person, regarding the death of Rubio.
