Notice of 2024 Flood Park/Campground/Golf course Closures
As an update, due to damages sustained from the flood, Watona Park will continue to be closed to the public. The campground will remain closed for the season. The golf course may reopen in the future but for now is still closed, please check our Facebook page for updates. At the present time the entire area (park/campground/golf course) are closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. There will be City employees and some construction companies going in and out of the park to complete repair or demolition projects over the remainder of Summer and possibly in to the early Fall . Essentially, if one cones/barricades are moved at the road closure to accommodate access for authorized personnel, this does not mean ignore the closure and go through anyway. Citations can be issued for unauthorized travel.

But what's up with these confusing Minnesota cities and counties' names?!?
